Who should I insure my boat with?
This month we asked our fleet of boat owners who they insure their boats with and why:

We have used Cheers Insurance Brokers Ltd for the last five years that we have been in the Med. Veronique Enright is the lady to talk to and we have found her and the company unfailingly helpful with annual renewals and any questions or queries. Fortunately, we have never needed to make a claim.
We insure for the entire Med West of 30 degrees East, and include all the boat equipment (tender, toys, etc) and personal effects for a premium that is always as good as or better, cover for cover, than any competitors we’ve looked at.
What seals the deal for us though is not having an electronic answering service to get through whenever we call. Personal service and the rapid response to questions like “What’s the premium if we change our cruising area to XXX?” or How much would it be to insure a new boat worth £xxx” is invaluable and keep us very happy.
